Take a shuttle bus from Linz (1.5 hours – 350 CZK/15 EUR), or Vienna, Austria (3 hours – 1050 CZK/40EUR) from Lobo Shuttle or Shuttlebus.

Take the new, non-stop, air-conditioned  Student Agency bus (3 hours – 150 CZK – WC, movie, drinks, and daily newspapers included) from Prague’s Na Knížeci bus station (metro: Anděl) to Cesky Krumlov’s main bus station — autobusové nádraží ( Student Agency calls this “AN”) .  Buses leave every 2 hours, daily from 7 am to 9 pm.  Seat reservations are necessary.

Take a regular bus (3.5 hours – 190 CZK)  or train (4+ hours – 220 CZK).  No reservations necessary, but be there early to get your seat. Click here for bus and train connections to Cesky Krumlov.

All trains and buses from Prague to Český Krumlov go through České Budějovice. We highly suggest taking a bus from České Budějovice to  Český Krumlov’s main bus station, autobusové nádraží, a ten-minute walk to our door. From Český Krumlov’s train station, vlakové nádraží, take a scenic walk downhill into town (35 minutes to our door).  Or take a taxi (100-125 CZK – 5 EUR per car).

Before you leave, print out ourHostel map for web (pdf, 460 KB) or use our Google map to guide you. Look for our dragon door, Rooseveltova 68.

So many festivals, so little time…What’s there to get jazzed about?  Jazzky Krumlov (Sept 8 – 11). Our personal favorite is  The St. Wenceslas Festival (Sept. 24 – 26)  –  Don’t miss Burčak, the first wine of the season, the gathering of the Václavs, or the fruit dumpling eating contest!

Take the Revolving Theatre for a spin!

In the summer months, ballet, opera, and classic Shakespeare are performed under the stars with the Castle Gardens as the background. You can book tickets now, or show up last minute (space permitted) with a pillow and blanket for the cheapest seats in town. Have a look at the schedule.
